When can we acknowledge Dwyane Wade is on the decline?

Father Time is undefeated. You can blame injuries, but he hasn't been elite this entire year.

At one point do we just call it for what it is?

I thought this was just general knowledge.

He will have to take a pay cut if he wants to stay in Miami

He's been a reckless with his body since coming into the league. It made for an exciting 6-7 years but these last few it's started to show.

When it goes, it goes.

He has zero confidence.

His game has always been predicated on athleticism so when it goes, it is noticeable.

The jumper has always been his second option and that's really all he has left at this point.

Wade looked old last year but still popped up with big games here and there.

Allen looks done.

hes just outmatched by the more athletic pacers

if/when he goes against the spurs he should have the athletic advantage again

It's time he either works on the jumper to extend the career or ride off into the sunset.

Happy trails a-hole.

he did have an elite year, but he only played in 69 games

he still has the athleticism, too. did anybody catch the sequence where he got 2 blocks in a row at the end of the game?

Who will he have the advantage against? Leonard or Danny green? I think they can both check him.

Maybe, maybeee ginobili? But his crafty arse will find a way to get it done.

He was still top 10 in scoring and PER this year. He's just playing hurt and it's obvious.

I'll give him another season and playoffs before I claim that.

Falling on the hard floor 10 times a game can't be good for longevity.

He averaged 21ppg on 52% shooting this year.

It's pretty clearly an injury.

Now he's no longer 2006 Wade, of course. But he's still elite when healthy as seen by this regular season.

No he won't. He has 3 years, $60m left under contract. They can amnesty him, but that's not a "take it or leave it" proposition for Wade. If they amnesty him, he can't re-sign with the Heat (for a least a year I believe).

It's his own fault. There is no need for the fall and slide after every layup.
