The loss of tradition and rivalries in college football. The bloated conferences. Just stupid.

When winning your Conference was everything, being invited to the Rose or Sugar and fans were happy and it meant something worth winning and as for the MNC, if you got the votes after the season, it was icing on the cake and fans argued forever about it...instead of Playoff or bust, National Title or fire the Coach! The sport is small now, not in scope but in narrow appreciation like spoilt children who can't enjoy anything other than being unquestionably #1.

Penalties in NFL. What happened to men knocking the shite out of each other?

It doesn't really matter in the long run because pro and college sports administrations listen to advertisers and broadcasting companies, not the fans.

Blatantly rigged games that have ruined the overall viewing experience of the NFL and NBA, specifically.

College - Fixed games combined with paid athletes that now opt out or slack off in order to save themselves for the draft.

Every player safety rule passed after 2000 have legislated the one single factor - violence - that makes the NFL great out of the game.

Get rid of the DH and raise the mound back up in baseball.

Having a DH takes so much strategy out of the game.

So true. Add not calling the strike zone by the rules from the letters to the knees.

Constant gambling promos watching games or listening to every radio show/podcast. If I want to wager, I'll figure out a way. I don't need or want it shoved in my face for 3 hours.

This for sure. The crap they pull in today's game would have netted fouls back when I was a younger man------it's just one more reason I never watch b-ball.

The one I understand the least is how in the hell do football players not know where the goal line is when going in for a TD and dropping the ball before they cross the goal line.

This happens at least 2-3 times a year between college and pro ball.

I guess I understand the tradition part, since some traditional rivals are playing each other less now. But what do you mean about rivalries? They are still pretty heated. e.g. are you expecting to hate Bama any less this year?

AFTER this year, we (LSU) will no longer be playing one of our biggest and longest term rivals-- Alabama-- every year.

That's the loss of rivalries he's getting at.

And yes, we will probably wind up hating Bama less, because we won't be playing them as often, which (as a yearly head-to-head contest) has often been a determiner of who won the SEC west or in the future who makes the championship game.

Modern sports are all tarnished now. I find zero reason to be upset anymore. It’s very refreshing.

Pass interference on virtually every pass at the college and NFL level. It’s just a matter of whether they get away with it or not. Players know it is not going to be called every time. Even “good” defensive plays are often with a defender draped all over the receiver.

Now granted, the NFL sort of brought this on themselves when they eliminated bump and run.

Basically celebrating every single play. No matter what you did. Bad or good, you have to make a pose. Hell, even if you tackle a guy who just ran 40 yards on you and you are losing 31-7. You have to strike a pose
