What a weird finish. I remember I had my newborn son in my arms, knowing the Hawks were about to go back to back Super Bowl Champs. Then...yeah. Thankful for my son. It saved me from going absolutely Jersey Jerry "HANGING IN DA BATCHROOM!!!" nuclear. I just kind of absorbed it, and got on with it. Helped having a Super Bowl win thrashing of Peyton Manning the prior year. If that was the only chance at one...I'm thankful for my son.

I went to that game and it was fun seeing Peyton get roughed up. Those were some great seahawk teams and enjoyed seeing my guy KJ Wright get a ring

Looking back I might have enjoyed Hartley's kick and the corresponding radio call to get the Saints to the SB than the actual win. Porter's INT is probably tied.

Following up on my post about Mays’ catch in the 1954 World Series, the throw to keep runners from circling the bases was about as outstanding as the catch. In a different time Mays might have been a football player, he was a quarterback, a Harry Gilmer jump passer. And it’s documented, not anecdotal, that he could throw a football 70 yards on the fly with accuracy and woe to any DB who got in his way on a sweep. He doesn’t get recognized enough among great athletes, not just baseball players.
