Lebron will never do enough for people like you.

Early years in Cleveland with a bad cast, passes to a wide open teammate who misses GW. "Lebron needs to take over, he's the best player!!"

Averages about 40 ppg in finals with depleted roster. "He just jacked up a bunch of shots to be a hero. His teammates weren't that bad."

Kyrie and Love miss a series, not an excuse. Green misses a game, negates everything. Bron gets a trip double and closes the Spurs in game 7 - but Ray Allen made a 3 in game 6 to force OT.

It's constant moving of the goalposts. Last year proved it. The man was the first player to ever, in any series of any length, lead all players in every stat category. He also did this in a 7 game series. In the NBA fricking finals. Against a 73 win team.

To sum it up - he had the most dominant series any player has ever had. He did this in the longest series possible. He did this at the biggest stage, the finals. He did this against the best team any player/team has ever defeated in a series.

If that was in a movie, you'd roll your eyes and say no way. But since it's Lebron you say "yeah but Green missed a game" or "But Kyrie made the go ahead 3"

Kyrie was a big blow. Losing Love was addition by subtraction because it forced them to play Tristan and he is a better match for them for the Warriors.

Curry had 26 and 8 in that game and shot fantastic from the floor. Delly was the one who defended Curry well after Kyrie's injury

Yeah you're retarded. Kyrie was a monster in the Finals last year that they had no answer for.

Then why not get rid of them?

Get rid of them.
Remain an almost equally good team.
Use the money to sign other players who will almost 100% make them better than they are now.

Or hell, maybe just give it to charity.

Exactly. They are just as good w Lebron carrying the load and everyone else being defensive minded. As they are with love and Irving playing. You said the same thing I did and found a way to argue against me at the same time. Have an upvote.

winning the east is a formality, so they really just have to get up for one series against the dubs in june.

I didn't say that. Lebron carrying the load isn't sustainable. He wears down. That's why, specifically Kyrie, they won last year. Lebron didn't have to do everything, he had teammates he could rely on.

I used this as a counterpoint because I was telling the user i quoted that you could say that about any game or series

I was just using an example to show that hypotheticals can be made both ways

This past years finals was a wayyyy more impressive showing by LeBron than two years ago

Last year, he shot well from the floor and from 3, defense was crazy good, and still led everyone in all categories

Two years ago, LeBron went in the games with the notion that he was most likely going to lose, so he just did all the work himself to make himself look better in history, I dont think he every actually thought he could win with the depleted team

Fair enough, although the degree of validity for those "hypotheticals" aren't in the same universe.

It's amazing that with such a strong basketball mind yo have, you can't differentiate Lebron playing alone for short stretches in the regular season is ever so slightly different than Lebron playing alone for every minute of the NBA Finals after Kyrie went down.

I understand, but the weight of the hypothetical is just opinion, like Ray Allen's shot was just one shot with huge backlash, and Draymond's missed game could be argued that it threw off the minds and chemistry of the warriors, and Kyrie and Love being gone obviously hurt the Cavs, but maybe the warriors end up matching up better with them and winning in 5 games... point is that no one knows what could've happened

I could also say that the only reason the Cavs won last year is because of the Draymond suspension

Did Draymond play in game 7? Did GS win game 7?

quote:

Also, Heat should have lost to the spurs if it wasn't for Ray Allen saving LeBron after his awful turnovers in the 4th quarter

You could say that about any game, LeBron's teammates in the finals two years ago were not as awful as everyone thinks, Bron just jacked up 40 shots a game to make himself look like a hero

Who was his 2nd best player, JR Smith? Sure thing buddy, not that awful!!!

shel I just posted the data you are free to build a narrative that suits you with it.

First you accuse me of making up the data outta thin air. So no surprise that when i give it to ya there's something else you wanna say to de-validate it.

So there was no stamina issue with Lebron playing 46 minutes per game and taking 33 shots per game?

Is that your official take?

So you think there is no possible way that Draymond's suspension in game 5, which the Cavs won easily by 15, could have even slightly derailed GS team chemistry?
Or maybe given the Cavs momentum they needed? or an edge to want to win more badly??
Or the fact that Draymond was arguably GS best player throughout the finals, and he could've led the warriors to an easy win at home to seal the series and embarrass the Cavs in 5 games

But no, since he was able to play in game 7 that means his game 5 absence means nothing i guess

By those arguments, draymond should have been suspended vs okc and most likely okc wins and meets Lebron.

I mean if we're talking suspension and all
