Yes. Don't play if you if you think it's too expensive.

why is LA such a bad "golf state"? is it the rain? maybe the fact that so many people hunt/fish?

What should the employees be doing to help pace of play?

Have you been following along? I don't.

Is that what golf courses want?

Haha that's the best way to ensure that someone never comes back to play the golf course if you have the employees running around the course hurrying people up.

Btw I'm pretty sure courses don't have that many employees.

without accountability nothing will change. I would rather "piss off" a group of 4, then the 50 players behind them waiting on every shot

Where are you playing that allows 5-somes and has that many people waiting?

I have been in that situation at SM a few times.

My parents are members at the bluffs, I'll def go out and say that the new management is working hard to be friendlier. However, I think that with people being more fiscally conservative, golf has taken a back seat for discretionary income.

Everywhere in Baton Rouge seems to allow 5 somes

I'm not opposed to it and I'm not always in a rush to play golf. I enjoy my time out there and don't think it had to be less than 3 hours for me to do so

Yeah Econ 101, if you're not breaking even just go up on the price! If that's your plan you better start your shut down plan at the same time!

Webb was $8 (I walked it) when I used to play it and it was barely worth that!

haha, not telling them to hurry up is the best way to stop the 40 people behind them from coming back

There's no way even at Webb's prices they are losing money or breaking even. they are always packed.
Same with Santa Maria. No way they are losing money, especially for what they are charging.
