To me, I think what Mahomes is done is being severely underrated

Brady also looked arguably the worst of the 4 I checked, which was amusing to me.

I stand by my opinion that rings in football are a terrible measuring stick.

Peyton is a 2x champ, Eli is a 2x champ. They are not close to being equal players.

Mahomes being the GOAT needs to be put on ice for now. Its just too early to judge.

Depends on your standard for GOAT. If it is career accolades, yeah it is way too early to judge. If it it talent and eyeball test where you say "his best is better than anyone else's I've ever seen", then no, that discussion can be had.

The ultimate proof that should have ended the "rings" argument is this:

Peyton manning was an elite QB for 15 plus years and won 1 ring

He then was the worst QB in all of football for a single season, and in that single season won a ring

How can anyone see that and still use the rings argument is beyond me.

Agreed. People who use this as their argument are saying they would take Trent Dilfer over Dan Marino, which no rational human would ever even consider.

how could you deny him if he wins 3 or 4 Super Bowls and like 10 mvps

How could you deny anyone with those credentials? Guy has ONE SB and got completely shut down in his second.
I get that hes special, but 2 years in they are questioning how he might surpass the GOAT.
What about Peyton, Brees, etc.

Oh really

Yes, really. You are the only one who’s invoked that shitty race take in this particular thread. And the rest of us are better than that. You want to cry about that, go start another thread and do it there. But take that bullshite the frick out of this one.

You have to really want to be offended to bring this up about Mahomes. Which is ironic because I have no doubt you’re the kind of guy that says the exact same thing about “the other side” always looking to be offended. Your take would have some merit if this was Lamar Jackson and not Patrick Mahomes. What you mention does happen. But not here.

I have literally heard about his dad playing in the MLB about a thousand times more than I’ve heard his race even mentioned. Read more articles about him playing pickup basketball at the rec than him being black.

frick you for baiting me into your bullshite and wasting so much energy on this fricking horse shite. And frick you even more for littering up this thread with it.

but Mahomes is on the path of being the best quarterback of all time.

By what metric?

Mahomes can not and will not continue to take the hits he does. He will have to adapt and thats hard to do.
Just this year he had concussion type stuff and now foot/toe surgery

Boo hoo....Pretty sure the thread title is "Whats up with all the Mahomes/Brady comparisons"...well Race IS part of it. Sorry you simply cant handle that truth. I can find you 100 more stories about Patrick Mahomes being the first black QB to do this and Patrick Mahomes being the first black QB to do that. Part of the reasons we are having these comparisons is because he is black. Again, those arent my words. I'm just telling you, part of the reason this conversation is being had is because he is black. Right or wrong...its the truth. Now, just imagine the headlines and stories if the Chiefs would have won....
