D2 in Arkansas alone has the Bollweevils/Cotton Blossoms, Wonderboys, and Muleriders. Pretty sure they're still in the same conference too

The CO School of Mines go by the 'Orediggers.', now. But they use to be just the 'Diggers'. I have an uncle that back in the 90s had one of those white game hats that were popular back then that said 'Diggers' real big and clear. He said he would just smile from all the double takes.
Don't know why but I actually like the UTSA 'Roadrunners'. Maybe it just reminds of the cartoon.

Northwestern State Demons.
Plenty of schools are devils of some kind (Blue, Sun) but “Demons” is rare.
Back when there were still freshman-only teams, NSU’s was the Imps.
