Just went to WVU bc New Jersey doesn’t have in state tuition
My first gf there was from Cape May, she ended moving to Philadelphia after one year to be with some dude and became a heroine addict

Sat through 21 straight losses in 1998 and 1999. I can remember the Vandy game in 1999. A winless Gamecock team versus the worst team historically in the conference and there were 75,000 people at Williams-Brice to watch us lose 11-10. We've had some rough years.

Yes. 60% at least. My brother was in that number. Him and my best friend both went there at the same time. In the probably half dozen times I visited I met one person from the state of West Virginia that were their friends. I probably met 4-5 dozen other kids. Compare that to myself who is an out of state alumnus for LSU. I probably met 1 out of stater to every15-20 Louisiana kids.

I don't know about the best in all of the sports, but I think Arkansas' fan base is very underrated. They pack their baseball stadium, have continued to pack Bud Walton Arena and get loud even though they haven't won the SEC in 25 years and still continue to get big crowds at their football games even though they have been really struggling. They are loyal.

The NJ kids I went to USC told me this
They wanted a big college atmosphere with sports etc
There’s one school that “has” that in NJ. It’s Rutgers
But it really isn’t that, they don’t give a shite about their sports, and is borderline commuter school.
They came to SC because they wanted to have fun and get more of the college experience

The Brad Scott era had the worst Gamecock teams I've ever seen, but Clemson stunk too so it wasn't as bad. We also never had a taste of being really good so the 3 straight 11-win seasons and 5 straight wins over Clemson at the beginning of the decade really raised expectations. I can't really identify with younger Gamecock fans. They're all sunshine pumpers and I'm the doom and gloomer because of the years and years of suffering.
