Maybe the Mavs?

They might like Parons/Dirk over Kawhi/Dirk

There are quite a few teams that have better SF's.. It all depends on if they would move him to PF if he would play for all teams.

Dudes a good young player and he has potential. He's not elite or anything though.

Great. Name them.

So far, we have LBJ, and Kevin Durant.

What does Chandler Parsons bring to the table that Kawhi Leonard does not?

The fact we are even having this discussion about Kawhi Leonard is reason #128273111983978242 that great defensive players are criminally underrated.

You think Kawhi is a special player?

First, I just want you to know I'm not the person who down voted you bc I feel like your taking this as a personal vendetta or something . I'm just talking basketball.

Also, I said The Mavs MIGHT like Parsons over Kawhi.

AS of right now Parsons is a better shooter/scorer and passer. Leonard is definitely a better defender\rebounder though.

Anyways.. Better SF's

Tier 1

Lebron
Durant
Melo

Tier 2 (no order)

Parsons
Hayward
Gay
Leonard
Joe Johnson
Ariza
Deng

He's obviously below everyone in the Top Tier

He can be debated against pretty much anyone in Tier 2.

You mean the Finals MVP that arguably outplayed the best player in the world on the largest stage? Why yes, that is pretty special.

I think Leonard is the choice over any of those guys. The only one that gives me any pause would be parsons. In the end, give me the guy that will shut down the other teams best scorer.

I'd probably take Leonard over those guys as well. But like I said. It's debatable.

And brgfather..

You think Kawhi is better than Melo? Really?

Melo is probably the best scorer in the league. Is his defense lacking? Yes. But so is Kawhi's offense.

Seriously man.

I suppose it depends on what you value in a player but Melo is a scorer and that's it.

If you can score 62 points in a game with out recording a single assist... that pretty much says it all.

I knew it wasn't you.

I wouldn't take Melo over Leonard.

The tier 2 is pretty meh. No way Iso-Joe, Ariza, Gay, or Deng are better than Leonard. I do like Parsons and Hayward.

So, basically, Leonard can range anywhere from the 3rd best SF, all the way down to probably 6th at the worst. That's pretty special, wouldn't you agree? He's only 23 years old.

The fire certainly can't be there compared to last year.

I think his defense is special and his offense is lacking. He's still young though. He's a good SF who has the ability to be elite. Guess we gota wait and see!

I would take Kawhi over all of these guys

And LOL at including Ariza in that group

I think the idea that being one of the 2-3 best offensive players at your position means you are "tier 1", whereas if you are one of the 2-3 best defensive players you are summarily dismissed as "overrated"...is tremendously flawed.

Last year they were super focused on revenge against Miami. The "hunger" is just not there this year. IMO the Spurs are about done as far as championships..
