Love’s agent will demand a massive contract which will put the Packers back into the same position as they were under Rodgers.

That’s what they are hoping for. Division titles and NFC championship games. Like the last few years.

That’s special teams not offense but again you can read a box score which my 9 year old nephew can do or you can understand what’s happening on a football field. GB had 6 points through 3 quarters, if they’re playing BMore instead of the 49ers you’re not viewing Love in the same way. The same goes for Stroud.

And if they pay him they’re committing contention suicide. Besides making meh throws to guys open by 30-40 yards off play action Love doesn’t do a whole lot. He definitely isn’t dragging a limited roster because of cap limits anywhere near contention.

I admit Love made a horrible throw at the end.

But you can’t discount the fact he had his team at least in a position to win bc of the good throws he made.

Are you suggesting Stroud had a better game than Love today? That’s all I’m saying.

Love will have to carry this roster going forward after his massive contract.

GB will win division next year. They the only team in NFL with all starters under 30 years of age. Their only competition is led by Jared Goff after Cousins leave for FA

He’s always better because he plays his position at a much higher level. Again you’re looking at stats, I’m looking at what the QBs are doing. Hitting a wide open WR off play action for 60 yards isn’t as hard as completing a 20 yard throw off platform, stepping up in a small pocket while getting hit.

I’m not looking at stats. I watched every play of both games. Stroud consistently threw the ball away instead of pushing downfield. Yes, that leads to less interceptions. But also less scores. Love played better than Stroud today.

Those who bet on the Packers still won, they covered. The 49ers were 9.5 points favorite.

Take into consideration the talent difference between Houston and Baltimore. Stroud was doing everything he could to keep them in the game, penalties and their O-Line killed them

So you wanted him throwing picks instead of keeping his team in the game like he did for 3+ quarters? Youre not making any sense, he had no run game and his D imploded in the 4th yet Love throws 2 picks, goes scoreless for 3 quarters, his run game puts up excellent numbers all night, his D plays lights out until the last 2 possessions and he played well?

lol dude I hate the packers as much as anybody. With that said, their entire receiving core consists of Rookie’s or 2nd year guys. LaFleur is a great coach. They’re not going anywhere…

Love was very mediocre today. That first pick was horrible. Pack had a chance to put their throats on SF. GB needed to lean on Aaron Jones more than they did…especially late.

Play of the game and microcosm of this discussion was the 3rd and 2 empty back decision to throw it. Love misses an easy short throw to convert and put the 9ers into panic mode. I thought it was a bad call and bad formation but Love was called on to make an easy throw and failed.

Going to be amazing when they give him his next contract for $60M/year and they struggle to sign free agents.

That's like bitching about having to pay taxes when you win the lottery. You really are a weak-minded moron and I'm guessing you are a Cowboys fan with all your whining about the Packers. Last night's game nothwithstanding, the Packers have their franchise QB in Love and the way of the NFL is you have to pay to play. Their nucleus is young (and on their first contracts) and people smarter than you or I will have to figure out the cap issues, just like every other NFL team.

Love will have to be the entire offense when they sign him to a franchise QB salary, this was their best shot at the Super Bowl. Love’s agent will demand a massive contract which will put the Packers back into the same position as they were under Rodgers.

Not for the next 3-4 years. They have a bunch of young no-names at the WR position. Those guys will be around for a while before they get paid. They are so young even if Love gets a massive contract they'll have a 3-4 year window to compete for a title.

You can read the box score and come to one conclusion but if you look at command, protection, difficulty of throws, target separation, run game support and balance, footwork, ball placement, pocket movement, off platform accuracy etc.. it isn’t even remotely close.

A first year starter panicked and made a bad throw late in a close road playoff game against a #1 seed. He's not the first young QB to make a bad throw and he won't be the last.

This is his first year as a starter. If he improves over the next 2 to 3 years, he wil be another great one.

You have to almost feel sorry for the Bears, Vikings and Lions. You finally get Favre and Rodgers out of your division and then another great QB shows up.
