1. He seems like a huge douche. i.e. the coughing shite he and Wade pulled bagging on Dirk, The Decision

2. I typically dislike any player not on my favorite team. (Hornets)

3. I always dislike any athlete that I feel ESPN slams down my throat.

4. I am not a fan of this "superfriends" movement going on in the NBA and I feel he started it.

1. So youve never EVER done anything douche-ish in your life cause youre perfect?

2.understandable

3. When they do shove him down your throat its usually bashing him tho, not nearly like it is for Tebow or Favre in the past

4.Judging by your username, you mean the trend you precious Celtics started when KG, ray ray, and PP teamed up?

My take on this, and i'm not a Lebron hater, is that people hate anything that is shoved down their throats, justly or unjustly.

Its why people hate Tom Brady, Tim Tebow, Derek Jeter, Lebron James, John Cena, Will Smith, and countless other mega-star / "box office" types. Its also the reason so many people hate Top 40 music. You can't get away from it.

I'm not one of those people pertinent to some of these entities, but that's my take.

Some people are just haters. It's difficult to explain and I don't understand them.

They're the type that always pull for the underdog just because they like to see the big guys go down.

I've never quite been able to explain what drives these people to think the way they do. But my guess is they like to see people fail in all matters of life. These same people probably got a lot more joy than you can imagine out of facebook stock tanking. The only thing that makes some people happy is seeing people that others expect to succeed fail (not saying any rational people expected facebook stock to perform well, that was just an example of something haters might get some pleasure out of)

This is one of the dumbest comparisons I've ever read.

It's safe to say that one of these guys is hated a lot more than the others... and it's for a reason

Dude, Rajon Rondo wasnt even at UK when I signed up here (Jan 2004)...I had never heard of him at the time.

Plus, the Celtics players didnt ask to be teamed up...that was all Danny Ainge.

They acquired KG and Allen via trade.

Idiot.

And no, I have never done anything douchey. But if I had, it wouldnt matter...this thread is about LeBron...not me.

ETA: I hate the Celtics...except when they play the Heat

Refreshing Topic

Let me BRIEFLY explain to you why I hate LeBrick (I could write a book).
Number 1) He gave up on his team in Cleveland. I would have respected him if he would have stayed and won a title there. And don't say he had no help when they had the best record in the league MULTIPLE times. He was only 26. MJ didn't win his first til he was 28. Hey LeBrick it's called WORK. Na no thanks, I'll just team up with two of the best players in the league.

Number 2) The Decision. That stupid espn tv show where he announced where he was "taking his talents" and the ensuing championship celebration with Wade and Bosh where he predicted that the Heat will win 8 titles. "Not 5, not 6, not 7." So that means at least EIGHT.

Number 3) His undeserved sense of entitlement and blatant arrogance. Where does this come from? Why is someone who has never won anything more than a high school state championship so damn arrogant? Hey LeBrick, you are 6'9" 270 can jump out the gym and run a 4.4. Sorry I'm not impressed when you can get 30 a game. How about making a play in crunch time a little more? Also, you are the most athletic physical specimen to ever walk the earth. Quit acting like a kid in a candy store when you dunk on people. How about a little humility.

Number 4) I love basketball. And to me, he is ruining it to where it is almost unwatchable. I want to see the best players play against each other. Not team up in their prime to win a title. He's a quitter who couldn't get it done on his own and didn't want to work. At least the Celtic players waited until they were in their 30's to team up. It's like when I was a kid playing video games and stacked all the best players on my team to win. Not something I want to watch.

LeBrick is NOT and at this rate WILL NOT EVER be on the same level as MJ, Kobe, Magic, Bird, or any of the all-time greats. LeBrick is one of the greatest TALENTS this game has ever seen. But you know what doesn't show up in the stat book? Heart, killer instinct, being clutch, superstar intangebiles. All things that Prince LeBrick James lacks. I hope he never wins a title. frick him.

I posted this yesterday in a different thread. I'm entitled to my dislike for Lebron just as people are entitled to jump on the bandwagon and cheer for him

not saying youre not, just want to know why. look people Im not gonna be the one on here like some that argue Lebron is perfect and honestly its good to have people hate him. It would be boring if everybody loved him. plus it has easily made the NBA much more entertaining these past few years that Lebron has been on the Heat. I can promise mor people have been watching NBA regular and mainly post-season much more these past few years, becasue you either want to see him fail miserably or hoist the trophy.

OH BTW about the not 1..not 2..not 3 thing..its always bothered me that people hate on this..it was a gosh-damned PEP-RALLY for the HOME team he plays for. what was he supposed to say.."uhh well you know we'll go out there and try but im not promising anything"..Heck no! he was trying to get the city and fans pumped and behind them.

I really do enjoy not caring about lebron at all. I don't hate him and I don't love him so it's very entertaining to watch the same 20 threads every game he plays. If he wins the lebron fans come out and tell everyone who hates him to suck it and the haters find ridiculous stats to bring him down. When he loses the haters start threads bashing him and saying they knew he wasn't clutch and the lebron fans find ridiculous reasons to back him up. Really is fun to watch

No, you say something to the likes of "We are going to bring the city of Miami another Championship". The not one not two not ten bullshite is a little ridiculous and comes off as arrogant, similar to most other things that Lebron does.

He comes across like he has not been told no since he was 12...and he has been surrounded by yes men ever since then.

Just not the type of person I can root for.

That being said, if there were 20 Carmelo Anthony threads I would seem equally as anti Carmelo.

He was a "pep-rally" for his home team, if you didnt like it then dont watch it. What he said was for the ears of Heat fans to get them excited about easily one of the biggest FA acquisitions in a while. I honestly don't think he was showboating just having fun...and if you honestly believe he wasnt exaggerating and just goofing around, i feel sorry for ya.

Don't like him because of the way he left my beloved Cavs. Handled the situation like a total dickbag (insert oh my god he raised so much money for charity here). I'm not saying he owed anything to the Cavs, but for a homegrown phenom to leave like he did was the ultimate douche move. If he handled the situation differently, I'd probably be rooting for him.

Believe me, I didn't watch that dumb shite live. It was the hundreds of times I saw it after. Every time I walked into a bar, tried to watch an NBA game, or flipped on Sportscenter, that clip popped up.

Oh man! welcome Skip, you're right on time.

He didnt give on Cleveland, it was clear that team wastn really going to advance any further than maybe winning a FEW more ECF championships. And people like you can't have it both ways when comparing Lebron and MJ's age. When the argument is "Well MJ didnt win a title till he was 28" you haters are quick to point out that MJ went to college and it was only his 6th season...well Lebron spent 7 years in Cleveland so you do the math.

OK sorry for him being told as a KID he was destined to be one of the greatest and had the talent to back it up...its pretty clear though that his "entitlement" has largely decreased in the past few years as opposed to his early years, which obviously shows he maturing.

Oh and Excuse the Frick out of the Lebron for showing some damn emotion on the court after a big dunk, and honestly I can't remember the last time LeBron had a pedestrian dunk(by his standards) and didnt just run back down the end of the court without saying anything. It only after a monster slam or something amazing that he shows this emotion. And dont even act like MJ or Kobe just quietly ran down the court after every great play that had. MJ taunted the hell out of people all the time.
