It’s truly amazing no one seems to learn from the mistakes of others. I really want to do a study on all companies and celebrities that have pandered to the mob and how many have either maintained their previous place or benefited.
I can’t think off the top of my head anyone that has given in that has even broken even on it, they all crash and burn, losing their base plus still having the mob hate them.

Furthermore, Ron Rivera is this decade’s Jeff Fisher. Overrated coach basking in one Super Bowl appearance (a loss). When you analyze Rivera’s record, it’s not that good.
Take out the 15-1 in the Super Bowl year, and he has a losing record as a coach. The Panthers went to the playoffs four times in 8 1/2 years on the job. One of those came with a 7-8-1 record to win a bad NFC South in 2014. One playoff trip in 3 1/2 years after the Super Bowl trip. Not exactly the second coming of Bill Belichick or even a good coach like Mike Tomlin or John Harbaugh.
Average coach who found a team willing to hire him. Plain and simple.
