Get rid of Stafford and Kupp to bring in Rodgers and Adams? Is it a cap issue?

The Rams gave Stafford’s agent permission to talk with other teams about the quarterback’s contract terms, a league source said. From those talks, the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Giants have both emerged as teams looking to acquire the Super Bowl-winning quarterback, team sources said Wednesday.

I caught some of goofy Nick Kostos' radio show yesterday and he said he gives this a "0% chance" of happening -- he thinks the Rams are too smart to bring in Rodgers as he is just not worth the hassle.

Heard on sportsradio...............that Stafford wants a huge contract and the rams dont want to pay that.

Hardly a done deal, Stafford could say no to other teams

Rodgers played well down the stretch last year. Jets had no offensive vision and a bad o line.
If he comes in with something to prove on a team friendly deal this would be good for the rams in the short term.

Rodgers is washed and any offensive issues with the jets are partly(majority) his fault. That was his OC and his weapons.

Agree.
The difference in the Rams winning vs losing that divisional round game this year is not something that Rodgers would have done for them over Stafford.

Rodgers is going to Minnesota.

he doesn't have a no trade clause, was the highest paid QB without one when he signed

Stafford didn't get a no-trade clause in his contract either. Quarterbacks among the league's highest-paid players when Stafford signed this deal, who had no-trade clauses, included Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Prescott, Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson.

The great Bill Simmons discussed it at length yesterday on his eponymous podcast

Hopefully Stafford comes to the Raiders

He seems to have rebounded but for a while there it looked like Stafford was about to be forced to retire because of that arm or shoulder injury. I guess the Rams might not want to commit because of that.

The Dolphins may be a sneaky-good pick for Stafford’s next destination. Mike McDaniel’s side has had plenty of flair on both sides of the ball, but Tua Tagovailoa has yet to prove he can lead the team to a deep playoff run — and of course he brings injury concerns to the position.
Stafford’s entry could revitalize McDaniel’s passing offense, with Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Jonnu Smith and De’Von Achane being the offensive leaders. The Rams could get Tagovailoa back in a potential deal and not have to immediately worry about a replacement, simultaneously giving the Alabama product a fresh start.

Stafford has two years left on his contract agreed to in 2022, with $4 million guaranteed in 2025 and none in 2026. He is set to earn $27 million this season, far below that of many other starting quarterbacks

Is Rodgers washed?
Is Rodgers better than, let’s say Carr?
