You're overestimating college football popularity in some of the nations really huge population centers. It'd have to be a pro team like patriots I'd think. I will say I've never seen people from all over the country root against a team like I saw in last years super bowl . Watched first half in lobby restaurant at hotel in Times Square. Out of 120 or so people it had to be 110 cheering for the falcons.

Many Warriors are unlikable but I like that they are a new team winning the title.
Plus, I like how the media and others are bent out of shape because they act like the Lakers have a birthright to attention and championships on the West Coast.

duke is the only team pro or college where a player i liked went there and i instantly said "damn i can';t like dude anymore because he goes to duke"
