Just look at LSU's baseball team as an example... every outfielder and every middle infielder will be as athletic (if not more) then the most athletic lacrosse player.
Doubtful

Those dudes are SKATING while they do that though.
LAX bros are just running around outside. Add pads, and Quidditch essentially equals Lacrosse.

Baseball players only run straight lines, no rapid change of direction, which is MO of lacrosse.
Eta: Chicken, that's probably going to be hard pill to swallow when your son wants to play lacrosse at St. John's.

You just described 80% of high school football players.

If you compare LSU's baseball team to Syracuse's lacrosse team there is no way on earth you would say one is more athletic than the other.

what does "far more athletic" mean to you? what are these super human lacrosse players capable of that the most athletic baseball players can't do?

Well they can run further than 90 feet at a time without passing out, for one.

endurance and top end speed, mostly.
the difference is 99.9% of lacrosse players are above average in terms of athletic ability. you don't have guys like bartolo colon, pablo sandoval, prince fielder, etc who are just fat slobs who can pitch or hit. everyone on the field has to be able to sprint the length of the field and run the entire game.
it doesn't even compare, dude

C'mon bro, sometimes they have to trot 360' while waving to the fans.

Change direction at full speed while being pressured by opposing player.

well, my argument was about outfielders and middle infielders...you can name slow/fat baseball players all you want, but that is part of the beauty of the game...it is greatly unique and allows for a myriad of skill sets (strong arm, speed, great hand-eye coordination, etc)...whereas lacrosse is some mishmashed sport that combines ice hockey with field hockey that no one outside of the kids and their parents care about...but I digress.
I will not argue about conditioning...baseball doesn't require as much..but it requires a myriad of skill sets that are much more difficult to attain than what is required of lacrosse. sorry, but it isn't close. any athlete can spend the time to become conditioned...

You need to have ridiculously good hand-eye coordination to excel at lacrosse particularly at attack and obviously goalie.
To be a good attackman you need to as good with your weak hand as your dominant hand, obviously that takes great skill also.

you clearly know nothing about lacrosse.
shooting requires almost the same skill set as major league players. it's kind of like an outfielder throwing to the plate. (that's actually how I learned to shoot)
goalies require the same hand eye coordination as a batter does. you're trying to save a 90-100 mph shot from 30-50 feet. it's not easy.
and the hockey comparison isn't really valid. IMO it's more like basketball in terms of offensive and defensive sets, slide packages, etc.
I'm not even bashing baseball. it's one of my favorite sports. but try to actually learn about lacrosse and you'll realize they are more athletic. nearly every bit of your argument for baseball being more athletic is actually an argument for lacrosse because they are similar in those aspects. lacrosse gets the nod because of endurance and speed.
and I can name fat slob mlb players all day because that nullifies the argument that baseball is more athletic. you can't move the goal posts and say you only mean certain positions because EVERY position in lacrosse is filled with guys who are in top physical condition.

None of your post even supports your argument. In fact, you even basically admit that athleticism is not that important when you bring up the skill aspect. Baseball is almost 100% skill sport, not one of almost pure physical ability (like football). That's not a bad thing.

the mental game between attack men and goalies is very similar to pitchers and hitters IMO. it's a game long sequence of battles.

In my area lacrosse is the dominant high school sport that attracts MUCH better athletes than baseball, the baseball players are nerds for the most part.
