University Park is part of Dallas. Only Highland Park seceded from Dallas I thought, and it's pretty much in the middle of town. It's like if Georgetown suddenly decided it wasn't part of DC anymore. Just bizarre.

All that said, I think that Chicago would be the answer to the question.

Are we counting NAIA? If so, then the "largest" city without a CFB team would be like Kenner or something...

There probably aren't any. San Francisco has some JUCO teams and San Jose St. is not far away. What CFB teams are in Dallas?

You're not really serious are you? Where do you think USC is? What do you think the "LA" in UCLA stands for?

Technically none if you don't count SMU which is landlocked by Dallas.

Its essentially like saying Ole Miss isn't in Oxford (University, MS) or Notre Dame isn't in South Bend (Notre Dame, IN).

Look at this link and cross them off. Maybe SF does have JUCO teams but they seem like the most likely then maybe Indianapolis surprisingly. Bloomington is close but not really.

Also, Denver has no CFB. Boulder is close but not in the city.

Pretty dumb, but that would make Boston a potential as well. Northeastern and BU have dropped football, and BC is in Chestnut Hill. I don't think Bently is right in Boston, but I could be wrong.

That would be ridiculous to not count SMU.

I thought maybe IUPUI had football, but found this

quote:

IUPUI Football: Undefeated since 1969" on Jaguars apparel. Are IUPUI students simply obsessed with the number? The truth is that IUPUI has no football program, and hasn't since IUPUI was founded in 1969. So now you know that the shirts are an homage to campus history, and the statement about football is technically true.

exactly...you have to count metro areas because US cities are so spread out now. it is similarly ridiculous to say that Northwestern isn't "in" Chicago

Apparently TulaneTigerFan thinks you should stop looking for teams when you get to the official city limits
