I am a golfer so don't take this the wrong way some people, but IMO a in a sport you have to be able to directly affect the others outcome

So Olympic sports like the javelin and discus and hammer throw are out? Oh, and track.

So no boxing?

I've never watched a full boxing match, but I was always under the impression that it was punch count that determined the winner if there was no knockout?

wow no. There are judges to decide the winner of a boxing match, just as in mma

You dont know a whole lot about sports obviously so we can rule out your definition of them

Like I said, I've never watched a full match, so I wouldn't know. Boxing or MMA just don't do it for me. It does seem rather odd to let a third party judge who won rather than them just keep fighting until a winner is determined, though.

I think you have to be highly athletic to do some of those things but they mostly IMO aren't "sports"

I am just going to say, in my opinion, you are wrong. And leave it at that.

So a sport played in only one country comes in second to a sport played in every country in the world? Okay...

Pro-Wrestling isn't a sport. Think of it as a really athletic performance art.

I'd say more like athletic vaudeville.

Well in sports like racing and track, you are judged based on where you place. Plaing ahead f your competitors is the way to "control their outcome"
