Isn’t he a sophomore in high school?

He’s aware of the transfer portal and redshirt system? He’s likely to not see a college field for another 6 years

He'll be lucky to play before his junior year and won't see a scholarship until then either ...

Friend's kid threw 94-96, had a scholarship to SEC school (think all male cheer squad) ... then transfer portal came along and they pulled scholarship for a transfer ...

Kid transfers to panhandle ... will be drafted in another year anyway ...

But good luck ....

My boy has never played baseball, but for some strange reason he went to HS tryouts tonight.

Which doesn’t include foreign athletes.

Stop being so naive as usual

Hmm, 60 yards? I'd guess 3 seconds would be awesome.

In HS, a competent coach is gonna get the best 9 bats in the lineup as often as possible. 60 time doesn’t mean much at that level.

My dad coached high school baseball until I was like 11. I played through high school and was decent enough to make 1st team all region my senior year. I spent my youth around the game I don't think I've ever heard of people's 60 time.

Admittedly my school sucked, so maybe coaches didn't have enough talent to get to that level. And I was slow and not athletic (could just hit and not make errors), so I wasn't playing college ball, so maybe it wasn't coming up for me. But still never heard of this.

They could all fly. We did have a LF for a year that was a 6.6 but the other years all were 6.4 and our CF were 6.2s. One of them was a WR and came over to play for us. The other played in the bigs briefly, our RF played in the bigs, LF’s dad was a big leaguer.
Oddly our middle infielders could run ok but weren’t crazy runners, but great hands and quick.

I think people would be really really surprised about just how athletic SEC and minor league baseball teams are. Just a different breed.

Even for you, this is a new low. You are in a thread shitting on some posters kid. How pathetic must you be to need to put down some high school kicker in order to make yourself feel better?

Outside of pitcher and catcher, all that really matters is whether you can hit or not. I guess 60 time could be used to decide between two otherwise evenly matched players
