Did not see him get hurt.

Ohio State offense scored 6 pts the rest of the game. Almost Inclined to believe there was an unspoken bounty put on him by UGA defense.

Harrison got lit up on a play to the end zone. 3rd Q. Refs tried to call targeting but it wasn't close IMO. Went to the tent and didn't return.
Said he went through concussion protocol.

Looked pretty close to me. That one and the hit at the end of the Michigan game both looked like targeting to me.

quote:Whether it was targeting or not, I’m not sure how anyone can say it wasn’t close given that if he didn’t get hit in the targeting region, it was about as close as you can get to it. Plus the fact he got a concussion and it looks like he mag have gotten knocked out cold (and didn’t land in his head or anything). That doesn’t typically happen on hits far from the targeting region.

Stroud decided it was a good idea to throw away the ball right down the middle where he was surrounded by 3 UGA players.

Thanks, I left my house to go to neighbors party. It’s why I don’t like to try to watch games at parties.

Id like to know how people are saying it was not close? Ive seen way less called and confirmed. This was a penalty.

Stroud threw up a prayer pass with a lot of air under it and got his best WR laid out on a clean hit. It was a fantastic play by Bullard that prevented OSU from scoring and essentially icing the game. If he doesn’t make that hit then the guy holds on to the ball for a td. Was not targeting and at no level of football should that hit be a penalty, especially not in a game/context such as that. Offenses get enough favor with the rules as it is, you can’t throw a flag just because a hit is a big hit. It’s part of the game. Also, not getting your WRs flattened is part of the game as a qb.

Why wasn’t a penalty called on Harrison? He clearly stepped out of bounds on his own, came back in bounds, then touched the ball.

Harrison got rocked but that does not mean it was targeting

This. Some people think every hard hit is targeting. It wasn't hargeting, but he did get laid out. Tip toeing on the line like that defender could have easily arm talked him and got him down but decided to waylay him instead.
It was a perfectly legal play.

The other 2 UGA defenders standing over him after getting cooked by him all night was rich.
