WM is running the ball at will in the 2nd half and then when it is tied they start throwing ball...makes no sense. WM had 338 yards in the 2nd half.

Yeah, I didn't mean to take anything away from Ponchy. The way the thread read, it was made to sound like it was WM's to lose. Looks like WM got it taken to them. Congrats on the win.

You have to give Ponchatoula credit for a great first half game plan. Nobody was expecting them to throw like that and they were pumped up. WM dominated the second half but the fake punt call was the momentum changer and gave Ponchatoula new life. I have watched football long enough to know that sometimes even having a great season with no losses it just isn't your night. Hopefully Ponchatoula will go on and not waste this victory. WM will have both QBs and RB back next year and will make a run.

It was close to that. As is in any sport when big underdog jumps on the favorite. The favorite made a big comeback and had a ton of momentum. The game was real close to changing and most of the time when that happens the favorite overwhelms the opponent. After the interception I felt our defense looked dejected when they came onto the field then gave up a TD drive. But give our guys credit they hung in their and go the win.

I keep seeing WM people posting this, but really we didn't do anything much different. We may have thrown it a little more but not much. About the same as they did against our better district opponents. Obviously the game plan to work the pass in more was based on the strength of WM. They knew they had to mix it and would be able to just hammer the run game. Honestly the only play I saw tonight that we haven't showed all year was the fake punt. Even the end around pass we had run early this year.
