At least he said this before he hired someone.

Khan job vs con job.

Fair point.

Still downgraded the job by saying it.

Jaguars owner Shad Khan said he had roster control in 2020 and will make sure GM coming in knows he will keep that control for now, at least.

What exactly does this mean? All moves need to be approved by him or his he actually making the moves? I’m sure the Texans owner wishes he could’ve oversaw some of the moves O’Brien made the last couple of years.

And drop to the Jets instead!?!?
frick that the Jets are worse!

TL should stay in school then

Why?

Those two teams are bound to be the #1 pick for the 2022 draft as well. Who's gonna be worse next year?

It means he's essentially the GM.

That's a problem.

Lawrence will never meet expectations anyways

He has never been a top 2 QB in college football

Owners need to stay out of football decisions. Period.

To be honest, if I were rich as hell and could own a team I’d probably want to be the gm as well.

No shite. It’s like collecting football cards as a kid but with real people

How many times has the same team drafted back to back #1 in the NFL?
(In the last 20 years I see once)

Especially if they take QBs this year?

They’re not going to ditch that QB after a year (since they’ll have a brand new Coach who picks the QB they want)

Indy did it in the 90s. And probably the 80s too when they were in Baltimore.

Yeah he is going to turn down $40 Million and be 1 more year towards a probably 30 million per year contract

And not play for team in state with no state income tax that’s 5 1/2 - 6 hours from Clemson? May be no better scenario for a #1 pick

Honestly there are a ton of coaches that will take that payday no matter what the roster is.

I can go 0-16 and guarantee the #1 overall pick.
