Weird stat: Michigan football 9-0 since 2015 when passing for fewer than 100 yards

How many teams, other than Iowa, have thrown for less than 100 yards 9 times in that period?

4 of them were this year, 2 of which were bama and OSU

This is indeed a weird stat.

The only logic I can see behind it is that when you are behind you tend to have to throw more to catch up.

If you are hypothetically ahead in a low scoring, ugly game and have decided to play conservative, you may not pass anymore and hope to essentially run out the clock and not make mistakes and that's basically what they were able to successfully do a bunch of times in a row apparently.
