That’s actually insane. Makes zero sense.

How many teams, other than Iowa, have thrown for less than 100 yards 9 times in that period?

I imagine it means their rushing was so effective for the game scenarios they didn't have to pass.

4 of them were this year, 2 of which were bama and OSU

Literally did not throw the ball once in the second half.

Michigan scored 10 points against OSU by gaining like 5 yards
I still have no idea what the OSU offensive brainchild was thinking

Or the opposing team had a retarded starting QB

I think UF did something like this under Muschamp.

I believe we ended the game with 26 straight rushes from the 2nd quarter onward

This is indeed a weird stat.
The only logic I can see behind it is that when you are behind you tend to have to throw more to catch up.
If you are hypothetically ahead in a low scoring, ugly game and have decided to play conservative, you may not pass anymore and hope to essentially run out the clock and not make mistakes and that's basically what they were able to successfully do a bunch of times in a row apparently.

LSU tried doing that but it didn’t work so great
