I literally just added up every distance from the longest tee on each hole from my yardage book, and it equaled 7700 EXACTLY!

Everythhing going well but putting kinda struggling. Quite a few 3 putts. Greens are tough.

I couldn't hit one well with that club if you gave me 10 tries.

I do not want to argue this point over and over. Just bring up the quality of the weekly thread and keep the topics of other golf threads mostly on track. Nothing is wrong with the joking or kidding around, but when it derails the thread, it keeps others/ new posters away.
A golf forum, in my estimation, would grow quickly. Look at the team titleist web page....they are experiencing 100% membership growth year over year since launching 6 years ago.
That said, sites like TT are stuffy and very old money like forums. What drew me to the weekly TD golf thread was:
1.) the funny BS that floats around in the thread
2.) the number of single digit handicappers that provide input to the thread
3.) the extensive product knowledge within the thread's membership group
4.) the quality of information for travel purposes for golf.
If I wanted a 100% serious forum like golf wrx or team titleist, I would sign up with them.
The beauty of this thread, and a potential board, is that you get all the industry news, tips, advice, etc. in addition to the club house BS that usually takes place after a round of golf.
Complete elimination of that banter kills the spirit of the board. With that said, one may ask why gfx or TT has membership growth....because the membership is active for the giveaways.
Why go to TT or gfx when the nitros and baws are segregated in their own thread?
Here, there is no pressure .......and on a weekly basis there is quality equipment, travel and swing advice that is second to none.

Baw killed the thread for me for a while. Mainly because I would go to sleep and wake up to 20 more pages. Didn't feel like trying to catch up from that far back. I feel like a board instead of a thread would vastly increase my posting for that very reason.
