Nice Boudreaux and Thibodaux joke earlier. Threeputt, he did cite you after he told it. Full bibliography and all, I was impressed

Boudreaux and Thibodaux are leaving to go hunting. B tells T " I forgot my boots in da camp, run up and get them." Thibodaux goes upstairs and sees MrsB and her 21 year old daughter. She asks "thibodaux, what you doing up here?" He replies "Boudreaux told me I could sleep with you and your daughter." Mrs B said "Mai's, you expect me to believe that?" Thibodaux says watch, and yells down "hey Boudreaux, you said both of them right?"

Is there really that much interest to get 400 members?
I just don't believe it's worth the cost. I mostly practice and hit balls and the oaks might have one of the worst practice areas compared to other clubs.

The memebership before it closed was less than 275 and I don't think there was an initiation fee, and the place couldn't stay open

I find it hard to believe that they'll get 400 people willing to pay more than they already were for that course

I like the course a lot, but it wouldn't be on my short list of courses I'd be willing to join

That's the million dollar question. We will soon find out. I think there are people that want a private club that isn't as far out as UClub. And that's no knock on the UClub. And no course will compete with CCL or BRCC. Every other course in our area is either all public or semi. That's a tough business model to sustain. Of the semi private clubs in and around BR, name me one that is turning an annual profit.

If it goes through, there will sufficient capital to improve the facilities. Also, the course & range will get significantly less traffic than it has with the previous semi private set up.

I think the oaks and brcc are basically the same courses. You can hit it all over the place with no penalty. The two best courses in the city limits are CCL and U Club. Santa Maria comes in third. They should take what they are trying to do at the oaks and do that with Santa Maria. Then you might have something.

Croacka

You make a good point. The max the club ever got to as a semi private club was around 300. But, that was a semi private club. Will more people be interested if it was completely private? At this point it seems so. Like I mentioned, it's a big number....but it's worth the fight.
