lawsuit...????

what happened..?

Not 100% sure, but I guess whoever they contracted to do it did a half arse/incomplete job. Paths were crumbling before opening if i remember correctly. Looks like they tore some of them out, and most of the path along the holes are now limestone/pea gravel. It is annoying to ride the path behind someone and get blasted with dust, but hopefully it will be fixed sooner rather than later. There are a few spots where the concrete paths are ok.

Play this and let me know how it is. I'll be there in 3-ish weeks. Don't worry, I'll hold down the fort at La Tour.

1. Needs clubhouse befitting that level of course
That's the first thing I said when we drove up. I just figured it was a temporary building because of the incompleteness of the real estate.

2. Cart paths need fixing (ongoing lawsuit)
That was horseshite relative to the quality of course.

3. Some of the beautiful native grass areas will eventually be developed, taking away some of the beauty of the course.
frick that grass, brah.

But, other than the greens being punched, the fairways and traps and everything was well manicured and in great shape. The pro was nice and so was the lady in the concession area.

ETA: Saw in my inbox that at GolfEtail.com, dey gots RBZ S2 hybrids for $99. Not sure if that's a good deal, but it seems like I paid more than that for my first RBZ after it was a year or so old (in model years).

Well most of the grass that is still in play isn't going anywhere

The clubhouse is temporary. An Atchafalaya type clubhouse would look awesome out there but I'm not sure what they have planned.

ETA: all of the staff are friendly people in my experience
