back in the day that was a hard hook driver off the tee (to get some run out and miss the tree in the middle of the fairway) then a hard cut driver off the deck and let the slope of the hill to the green kill it. If it stopped on the green (no matter where it was) you had AT MOST a 20 footer for eagle
ETA: Funny story about that hole during the state championship when it was held there. Pin was front right and I missed my second shot well right. I was right of the cart path and in 15 fairway. With the pin where it was, I was DEAD.... I was not real excited to get to the ball because I knew I had no shot at all. Once I get there, there are a few people that were following the group standing around the ball - one being teh LSU coach. I joking said when I go up to the ball "Hey, Coach what you got here?" he chuckled and said "Hit the pin" ...
We laughed but he was correct. The only way to stop that ball on the green was to hit the pin. Guess what? I freaking took a lob wedge and hit a low spinner that HIT THE PIN !!!! Stopped about four feet form the pin, and I made it for birdie .. I know CSB
