How it is around the greens? Comparable to the prov's? I shoot in the 90's but the only reason I am able to do that is short game, so I tend to play spin-ier (don't steal that TaylorMade) balls.

Long term they'd like to get it back to pretty much private with some outside play.

It seems as though there would be enough people in the area to get some decent membership numbers if they keep it in good shape. Although, I kind of question if that area could support a completely private club. There are several examples of these types of clubs failing in the area.

I grew up in LaPlace, and I never was a big fan of the layout of Ormond, but it was usually in decent shape. When I went out there last, it was a Saturday mid day round, and they hadn't cut the fairways in a couple of days. We were getting flier lies from the middle of them.

Yep, I know what you mean. The last year or so it's been coming back around. They wouldn't make it strictly private but the last time I went on the weekend had some groups of real hackers who didn't follow (or maybe know) basic courtesy. I used to hate the layout but I've come to like it, you pretty much need to use every club during a round.

I loved Belle Terre but it went to shite. Haven't been there in years.

They are meant to rival the prov but I don't play a lot of spin in my short game so I'm not the best to compare them

They were running at the same price point as the prov last year but they've come down a lot this year

Just finished walking Sherwood for the second time in 3 days. Very promising front, typical back. 41-50-91.

So how did you go to a Bridgestone fitting and get fitted to a ProV1x?

Yea, it's a great layout, and when I was real young it was in great shape. It's pretty bad now.

I wonder how Chateau is doing, haven't played there in a long time. Always liked that track too.
