Welp, its back to the drawing board. we are making the change that needs to be made. I cannot get the face shut. small swings, big swings, from the inside, from the outside, wedges, drivers, it is always the same. face is so open you can set your drink on it. I'm getting no lag and in fact the club is beating my hands to the ball by a mile so even when I hit it straight it goes nowhere.
So, the fix is back to the exaggerated strong grip--my old smash grip. I've got hit hundreds of balls with this grip with little half shots until I feel the club staying closed and then start trying to create some lag again. I'm up for the challenge. severe grip changes are like learning how to write left handed or something. I know that grip used to feel comfortable for me so its just a matter or reps. I hope you baws be in prayer.

You'll pull through this, man. Sometimes it just takes one shot for it to "click".
I remember end of last summer I regressed 6 months in a matter of days. I went out and played a quick 9 with my friend. After barely making it through the first few holes, about hole 7, I really focused on clearing my hips on my approach. I hit a super pure shot, and boom, I was back. Par'd out the rest of the holes, and I was back to shooting good numbers.
