According to Louisiana State Police, the guardian had attended training provided by State Police which taught the warning signs of sexual predators. She recognized the signs in the conversations Hensley was having with the boy even though they had not yet turned sexual.
Detectives took the boy's phone, assumed his identity and continued conversations Hensley initiated. As their investigation furthered, Hensley became sexually explicit with his conversations. Hensley also indicated that he wanted to meet the boy at a location in St. Mary Parish for a sexual encounter.
Troopers arrived at the predetermined location Wednesday and took Hensley into custody without incident. He was booked into the St. Mary Parish. This case remains under investigation and Detectives are not ruling out the possibility of further charges.
Troopers believe there could be more victims who have not come forward yet. If your child has been instructed by Hensley, you are asked to call State Police at 337-262-3341. A person who has been the victim of a sexual predator has 30 years from his or her 18th birthday to report the crime to law enforcement.
