They have some interesting road games: @ASU, @NEB, @PSU that year.

MICH and OSU are at home.

Hoping for their QB lewerke to get better in year 2 as a starter

Playoff is 4 years old

2018
Alabama
Clemson
Oklahoma

2017
Alabama
Clemson
Ohio State

2016
Alabama
Clemson
Oklahoma

2015
Alabama
Ohio State

There is a reason so many people are picking the same teams, and its because the same teams are making it.

Alabama will be in guaranteed, we’ve seen in 2011 and again last year no matter what happens during the season the “eyeball” test will get them a pass.

And they totally proved both times that was a huge mistake and they had no business being there, right?

Anybody can beat anybody in playoff.

It's about deserve...getting in.

They used to say USC would win the Natty every year in the 2000's because they destroyed all their BCS opponents in the BCS games but for one. 6 for 7 in BCS games.

It's about the opportunity...if Bama is going to get the opportunity every year regardless of what they do during the regular season...they are bound to come out on top half the time.

(And they did lose to Ohio State and Clemson) - but hey, they'll just get placed in the playoffs again no matter what happens with the regular season or lack of Conference Titles.

Should Bama just go Indepenant? It seems they can't win Conferences but they can win voters Nattys.

They won the SEC in the previous 3 playoff years.

Maybe your Buckeyes shouldn’t have gotten buttfricked by an unranked team

And yet when history looks back at them now, they've won 0.

USC is actually a great example to disprove the points you think you're making. Almost every year after 2003 the media was basically crowning them national champions either before or during the season. Yet they only made the game twice, only won once, and that win doesn't even exist anymore. Alabama has made the championship game/playoff far more and won far more.

It's not regardless of what they do during the regular season. Clearly the people making the decisions feel they are doing enough to be possibly be the best team in the country, and more often than not Alabama is proving them right.

quote:

they are bound to come out on top half the time.

Is that right?

Alabama has won 50% of the playoffs they've played in. So has Ohio st.

Clemson has won 33%. Oklahoma has won 0%.

How do you explain this?

quote:

but hey, they'll just get placed in the playoffs again no matter what happens with the regular season or lack of Conference Titles.

There you go again acting like they have not earned the right to be in the playoffs they've been in.

Also, I trust that you complained just as vehemently about Ohio st getting in 2 years ago. You know, since they were the ones that set the precedent for making the playoffs without winning a division or conference championship, and "ignoring" regular season results.

Alabama has won 5 conference championships in the last 9 years. How many other schools can make that claim? I don't imagine it's very many v

As far as I know the last "voter natty" was USC in 2003. Which one has Alabama won more recently?

Pac 12 is pitiful in major sports right now imo and will not be represented

Sad but true. The P12 has the worst commissioner of any P5 conference. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the SEC is paying him under the table to frick shite up on purpose. He's that bad. How does Larry Scott still have a job? Okay rant over, here are the predictions:

Bama
Clemson
tOSU
Texas*

Nobody's predicting UT is going to do anything this season, but that's probably just how they like it.

USC could derail that train early with a win at Austin, but unless JT Daniels comes in and is the second coming of (college version) Matt Leinart, I don't see it. Our QB situation in Spring Camp is woeful.

*I know, I know. It's a stretch.

How do you know Ohio St or Wisconsin would not have won the playoffs this year? Or Oklahoma St in 2011? Maybe USC and Pete Carroll would have more titles if they were given 2nd chances. Alabama’s resume last year was pathetic, no other team gets in that finishes 2nd in their division with a best win over a 9-3 team that lost to Troy

So we use resume for some teams but “eyeball” test for others. That pretty much proves my point, they will go out of their way to put Alabama in if they don’t win the SEC.

Best division in what? The SEC? Their best regular season win was a 9-3 team that lost to Troy. The record of their SEC opponents was 25-38.
