Of im Clark, i consider announcing a 1 yr hiatus...and i sit back and watch the league crumble, and beg me back.
Also, that smaller ball is a negative IMO. My son has much much better control with the larger ball, as he transitions to the larger.
He now hates the smaller size and actually loses some control when accidentally grabbing one at the gym.

You're acting like the NBA doesn't have bad calls even against their super stars. Saying the league isn't embracing Clark is asinine.

They’re tip toeing to avoid cries of favoritism.
they’re walking a racial tight rope

But why though?
Was surfing and heard Clark's name called. And it became a bizarre amazement to me how pathetic the skill is overall.
Then my son walks on and starts talking about how hateful the players in the league are towards the obvious top player.
That's an 11 yr old, already soured on the league. Yet the league itself doesn't recognize how it's hurting it's own products future, by allowing blatant racism across the league.
So I sit here and try to imagine spending a single dollar to go see a game

I've seen Clark get some calls that she shouldn't have gotten. I think just like the NBA the WNBA has a problem with officiating. Problem here is some people just want to interject their conspiracy theories again but hardly the first time we've had people spew conspiracies about sports to be honest.

Another problem is the flopping/baiting for foul calls. Its becoming more and more common

I dont think it's a conspiracy, I think the talent is so bad, the refs swallow the whistle, or else half the team would foul out. They are just too clumsy to play defense correctly

Its pretty obvious, so he would have something to bitch and moan about

There are very few watchable women’s sports . Basketball isn’t one of them.

It is an absolutely terrible product. It's hilarious to me that these women want equal pay

Nothing yet, does watching WNBA count as an offense?

Even Clark today...10 turnovers? Are you kidding me? She played less than 40 minutes, so that's a turnover every 3.5 minutes or so.
I was watching that Fever game, it was just crazy bad basketball. Players out of control, terrible defense, missed bunnies left and right (there was literally a wide open fast break layup bricked), it was hard to believe these were two of the top teams in the league.
Well, it was hard to believe until I watched some of the Dream-Wings game. Sheesh. That was horrendous. Brick after brick, no semblance of any sort of plan on offense, sloppy play, I turned it right off.
The league might be getting more hype now because of Clark and Reese, but if you're actually watching the games, the level of play is no better than it used to be. It's still horrendous.

she hits the wide open 3 better than most NBA'rs
In the last two games she's a combined 2-16.
Do any of you people watch these games before you post your nonsense?
Clark is an average-plus player. Her team is better when the ball is out of her hands. She wasn't even the best guard in the game today, much less the league as a whole.
She is touted as a superstar because she is a white, (supposed) heterosexual, a segment of the population the league is desperate to bring in.
As I've said many times before, if she were black, nobody (especially on this board) would even know she existed.
Those are just the facts. You can be angry over it or you can accept it and move on with your life. It isn't the end of the world either way.

Bruh what? Every athlete that has ever played sports goes through slumps

quote:True, but there's a difference between a slump and getting shut down by the opposing defense. She's been shut down two games in a row now. With today's game on the line, in the final seconds, she gets her pocket picked by a very average defender, resulting in her team losing the game.

One of two things will happen. Either she will return to getting preferential treatment (i.e. Bird, Jordan, LaBron, etc.) where if you so much as breathe on her they call a foul. Or, you will see more games from her like the last two because defenses are figuring out how to neutralize her.
It's somewhat like a soap opera. We'll see what the next episode brings.

Those aren't facts. Just your silly opinion.
Most sports fans know Clark dragged Iowa to two national championship games without watching a second of the WNBA. That upset of South Carolina when she was a junior was kind of a big deal.
