So, bottom line. You're building a TEAM of elites. You pick Barry or Emmitt as your back?

There's no "had" in that sentence. My eyes do work.

You could also make the case that Smith was maybe the most complete back in league history. To this day he's underrated as a receiver (caught over 500 passes) and I think he was quite possibly the best pass blocking HB there ever was. Dude was magnificent on blitz pick ups.

And this from someone who hates the Cowboys

Sweetness used to obliterate people when he was pass blocking.

He is obviously one of the best and no lughead has ever changed another lughead's mind in one of these GOAT arguments anyway, so he quit when he wanted to and didn't really suffer for it. It is not like he has ever met anybody who says, "Oh, your just Barry Sanders, you aren't the best."

Besides, playing behind the typical Lions line was probably getting old.

and he made enough to use that law firm on the radio for his divorce

Hell, he makes a damn strong case he was the GOAT running back, incredible remarkable career within only ten years: 5.0 career YPC, 1500 annual rush yard average, a 2000 yard season.

Had Tom Landry given Tony Dorsett more carries he would have had multiple rushing titles and had a few thousand more yards rushing. He is the prettiest runner in NFL history from what I saw that had an amazing change of direction and balance. Great receiver as well.

You dumb..... emmitt was great but there are a ton of backs that could have been great on those Cowboy teams..... putting just ANY back on those Lions teams just doesn't happen.....

If my dick was 12" long, I would be John Holmes
