I hate that this has become a bullshite political move to go or not go. It's a celebration for a champion. It's beyond politics.

ETA: To clarify I am a fan of major champions visiting the white house. It's a great american tradition.

I can’t believe these men would celebrate their title with Drumpf. People are LITERALLY dying because of his racist policies.

All of this. Ridiculous that it's become a partisan issue.

I agree. Don't know why Trump turned it into one.

First time I can remember this happening was Tim Thomas when Obama was in office. I’m sure it’s happened before that, but this began before Trump....despite your hopes.

Trump didn't do anything directly to start this. Players decided to not go at first and the media blew it up.

He didn't. The Warriors and their TDS infected coach blasting Trump non-stop and saying they wouldn't go to the White House (before they were even invited or won the championship that season) are the ones who turned the White House celebrations for championship teams into a political issue.

Then they got praised by the media and set the precedent for other teams to use declining White House invites as their way of protesting

He absolutely did when he called NFL players son of a bitches for kneeling. Regardless of how you feel about PEACEFUL protests, that ain't the right way to go about it.

Instead of trying to create an open dialogue to mend he insulted instead, because this guy ain't about being presidential, it's about insults and pandering to his voters. Its pathetic.

Doubtful. The celebration is at the White House not Trump tower which is world renown for its taco bowls.
