I marveled at his size when I watched him play and I can't recall another player being as big as him before or since. Guy was an absolute mountain of a human being.

I’m not sure but Herman Johnson was the biggest baby born in Louisiana.

Gilbert Brown was heavy as 340 pounds. Heaviest player right now is Raiders OG Trent Brown who is 6’8 380. Heaviest all time is an OT named Aaron Gipson who was 6’6 410.

Also since you didn’t specify NFL, there was a HS player that was 7’0 and 440.

Aaron Gibson is the heaviest nfl player in history at 6’7 410 lbs. University of Minnesota has a recruit who is 6’9 400.

Those neck rolls made people then appear even larger than they were.

He was a fatty, but he was only 6’2”, so 340 is completely believable.

“Big ole Gilbert Brown”

Madden said this at least six times each Packers game he called.

Gilbert brown was clearly way bigger than all the other linemen. Like mount Cody at bama was a decade or so ago. Way bigger

The Fridge was massive, you could be fit a 50 cent coin through his Superbowl ring.

The biggest man I'd ever seen was that tight end from Baylor a few years back

ETA pics:

EETA: He was 6'6" 405lbs

Jonathan Ogden played at about 6'9" 350ish

Was also a much better player than Brown (not that that matters) But as far as significantly relevant players he has to be up there

Oddly enough on the same Baltimore Ravens team they had 2 DTs starting at one time that were about the same weight as Gilbert Brown (Sam Adams and Tony Sarigusa)
