Not great news out of the Dodgers today. With the team up in Milwaukee to take on the Brewers for a series, just about the worst news for their roster came down. Walker Buehler last pitched for the big league squad on June 10th before heading to the injured list.

This afternoon, the team announced that Buehler would be out for the rest of the 2022 season. The Dodgers added that Buehler would need to undergo season-ending surgery on his elbow, performed by renowned surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. That’s a devastating blow to the roster and their playoff pitching staff.

I have no idea how they pulled it off, but I’m sure that the Astros created the injury. It’s their fault. The media will make it happen.

Seriously, as another poster said, I hate it for Bueller and hope he makes a full recovery, but frick the Dodgers.

I mean frick the Dodgers and all, but Buehler hasn't pitched since June... LA has been the best team through July/August.

I mean their payroll is $300 million and they trade for whatever position that is underperforming that $300 million at the deadline, they should have the best team

But they didn’t in the 2021 NLCS

I mean he'd be a luxury for them at this point. They'll be fine, unfortunately.

Even if Buehler was able to get back this year like the Dodgers were hoping, he was only going to be a 2 or 3 inning guy by the Playoffs. Dustin May has been pitching well in his rehab starts, threw an immaculate inning a few days ago at Triple A. He is rejoining the Dodgers on saturday and may be a 4-5 inning guy by playoff time.
