And a lot of people hate those guys.
They also are significantly better coaches than Wade who if they wanted to could get broadcasting jobs.

Since Wade was hired... and suspended... by McNeese
both head coaches from the Southland Conference Championship Game have left the conference
Corey Gipson left after 1 season at NSU to go to his alma mater Austin Peay
Steve Lutz left Texas A&M-Corpus Christi after 2 straight SLC Tournament Championships (and subsequent NCAA Tournament appearances) and 1 regular season title to go to Western Kentucky

And what might even be crazier than all that is UNO putting out a public statement that read like "Mark Slessinger better start winning now... or else"
And some are like "who tf you think you are giving a coach an ultimatum... you're freaking UNO"

Isn’t he their all time winningest coach?
And his contract is up next year… a 7 year contract he signed after they went to the tournament in 2017… I wonder if UNO told him “you better have a year here where a bigger job wants you because we’re not extending you again if you don’t have that year.” Up or out.
