re: Wade = Finals MVP?

Wade was the smart move because LeBron played a tentative game offensively. If LeBron played as aggressively as he told the media he would, Wade would not have been the go-to guy late. No one on Dallas is capable of slowing LeBron. Any way you want to slice it, LeBron didn't really show up last night and Wade did. Wade was aggressive; LeBron was not aggressive.
then he completely quit; no one understands it
it's not because he's lazy or soft so who knows what the explanation is

as good as he is defensively shows he isn't lazy
he takes contact better than anyone else in the nba. he's not afraid of contact

Giving up on his cavs team in a playoff series. Having to have his coach tell him to stop clowning around during a losing streak. Watching him go through the motions during the NBA finals. Celebrating a win with 7 minutes left, did you see how hard he worked for that impossible 3 he took with the game on the line
Lazy people aren't always lazy...no doubt he has had some great games and series. He is so good, he can sleep walk to 20/5/5 and a good defensive Performance

I just caught up in this thread from where I left off of last night, and I'll say two things.
Only looking at mid-range jumper % does not make one player a better shooter than the other. You'd have to look at 3-point % and free throws also.
Secondly, everyone acts like Lebron is shutting down Dirk while Wade is just chilling on defense. Wade has been every bit as good as Lebron on defense this series.
And, if you look at their career defensive numbers, their pretty even. Wade is a fantastic defender who is not getting the credit he deserves in this thread.

the entire playoffs lebron has led the team, so i don't think you can call him robin
You really do have a Lebron James obsession!

Wade is amazing to watch right now. He's playing out of his mind. LeBron has been great, but should be the star of the series. Nobody can convince me that Shawn Marion is too difficult of a matchup for the best player on the planet. He should be dominating this series.

(regular season stats, but lbj is ahead in postseason stats as well)
FT:
Lebron: 75.9%
Wade: 75.8%
3PT:
Lebron: 33.0%
Wade: 29.2%

most of those means he may be immature

ah so now lebron gets the "lazy" argument, without any basis in reality
at least with shaq, it was essentially proven he was lazy

LeBron is playing subpar (for anyone else that's a great performance) against SHAWN MARION
He is the best player in the world and he should be dominating this series...explain that

he's playing efficiently. would you rather him play more aggressively and lose that efficiency? especially with wade blowing up?
as an objective observer of this team and this series, what would you say is the wiser strategy for the heat?

he's deferring to the player who is hotter (which in large part is based on having better matchups)
he's playing SMART

I agree with all of this.

The best player in the WORLD against anyone is the best matchup...yes he is deferring, thank you.
