If it makes you feel better, I wouldn't judge you for protesting for your beliefs by taking a knee.
Their protest and manner of protests are two different topics though. As for their protest of taking a knee, I don't have an issue as long as it is done "right"
The flag/anthem are an important symbol for our country. There are protesting I'd agree would be disrespectful such as talking, stretching (L. McCoy) and other actions otherwise showing lack of respect for the importance towards our country.
A "polite/respectful" knee that doesn't denigrate the importance of the anthem/flag by talking, ignoring or dismissing it as a symbol of our country isn't a problem for me. It suggests that the protestors aren't trying to diminish the importance of the flag/anthem nor its meaning in our country.

If you cannot comprehend why the Vice President of all people going OUT OF HIS WAY to a game of a SPORTS LEAGUE his administration claims it is BOYCOTTING and is telling people to boycott just so he can be stage a walk out after the anthem because he is outraged at seeing the protests he ALREADY KNOWS are gonna happen and before the anthem tells someone to make sure they take a photo for his fricking TWITTER to show he was standing for the anthem and on top of it all this was an order from the President who has had a vendetta against the NFL for more than 30 years is bullshite, stupid, sad, transparent, juvenile, and embarrassing PR stunt then you're not ever gonna get it.
