The 1st amendment only prohibits the government from taking punitive action for people exercising their 1st amendment rights.
However, the President and Vice President have those same first amendment rights and they are using them to call out whiny and spoiled football players who don't know shite about what they're disrespecting and I understand why that chaps some people's asses but get the frick over it.
