I'm not sure why a lot of you think it was a given that Boogie was gonna give up 30 mill and not resign with the Kings.

Yea. I would have been surprised to see him pass up 40 million even given his issues with the kings front office

I dont think that was a given at all. If the Kings were even beginning to show they were being run competently then I think Boogie would at least have considered re-signing.

By getting out of there now, he can rebuild his image, lead a franchise and set himself up for UFA next season and quite possibly his last big contract after that. He is 26 now, if he takes better care of his body, he could still be a big contract type guy at the 31/32/33 age range

What I'm saying is that I don't think any of that would've mattered. They could've offered around 30 mill more than any other team for the same contract length because of the new CBA. I just don't think he would've given up 30 mill to go somewhere else.

He wouldn't have. If he was smart he would have signed the extension and then forced his way out via trade.

All reports say he wanted to stay and the kings wanted to keep him up until about a week ago when he flipped off the fan at the warriors game. They just had enough of him. There's only so much BS you can take...

He can flip off any fan who disses him as long as he pulls 25/12.

There's a Clear difference between a franchise player "face of the organization" and a role player.

Yep, and throughout the history of sports, the face of the franchise has a much longer leash and the role players can get away with much, much less than the star player.

But SAC clearly operates differently from just about every other sports franchise...not in a good way.

Or it tells you just how much of a POS Cousins has been and the stories that we haven't heard. We've alll heard guys like Lowe and others allude to things cousins has done that were just dispicable. Stories that these guys werent even willing relay to the public.

Everything is all about rumors of what "people heard but can't say".

He did a lot in the Sacramento area for kids and youth. Model citizen in almost every way shape or form off the court. He has an attitude problem on the court, a huge one, but not even Rasheed or Draymond gets this level of hate for it and they're equally as bad.

J there was a podcast less than a week ago on the ringer with joerger where cousins said he wanted to stay in sactown and wanted his number retired there.

Source: no one act moved Kings to deal Cousins, but yelling "F*** Golden State" at fans after Feb 5 win over GS was a factor. That, & 17 Ts.

I don't have an idea what you're taking about. Most Everything you wanna find out about cousins and the deal can be found pretty easily if you want on twitter. I'm just relaying what I'm seeing to clear up a lot of the misinformation that is being posted here.
