And Penn State will have egg on it's face

Pitt
@ CAL
Georgia Tech
@ Clemson
@ SMU
Stanford
@ Miami
Virginia

2 remaining losses at most on that schedule, one potentially this week vs Pitt, which if they somehow lose would make it an even better bet as the odds would be better

If they do lose between now and the Miami game, I'm fully expecting an undefeated Canes team fresh off blowing out Notre Dame in South Bend to lose as multi-TD favorites at home to Va Tech

And no, this isn't some championship contender, that's just how it's going to play out

I like the Franklin hire at VaTech. He’ll do well there.

But I see at least 3 losses on that schedule. Hell, I see 3 road losses and they’ll probably drop at least one of the other games even if they’re able to win one of the road games.

Where? I'm being generous with Pitt, as Va Tech is favored, but SMU just almost to lost to Missouri State and Virginia got torched at home by fricking West Virginia

Wouldn’t be shocked if they lost any one of these games.

They’ll definitely lose to Miami. SMU will be favored and IMO win against VaTech. Clemson hard to tell, I’d imagine that’s a pickem game or Clemson favored, but at Clemson so gotta go with Clemson.

UVA/Pitt/GaTech/Cal are all toss-up games. I doubt very seriously they win all of those 4. Possible? Sure, but I doubt it.

And while I think they’ll beat Stanford, I’m certainly not 100% confident they’re gonna beat Stanford.

I mean I definitely hope you’re right and hope he makes the playoffs and makes some noise in the playoffs to laugh at PennSt

That said, I don’t think it’s gonna happen. They’re still a year or 2 away of program building to get to 10+ wins and be a legit playoff contender

If youve watch Va Tech they arent good.

They have a good RB and the transfer TE from PSU is a good receiver. But Grunkmeier struggles against better teams and Franklin has never developed a quarterback in his life.

They're undefeated with a joke of a schedule.

Pitt's best win is 12-7 at home vs UCF
Cal is absolutely vs any team with a pulse of a secondary
Georgia Tech may not win another game
Clemson's offense is an abomination
SMU is bipolar and less talented outside the QB position
Stanford is Stanford
Miami is nowhere near as unwinnable as it seems
Virginia got embarrassed on their home field by West Virginia

I think their best chance at making the playoffs is somehow squeezing into the ACC title game and pulling an Upset and winning it. But I see a ceiling of 9-3 in the regular season… I’ll go with 8-4 for now. Which will be a great season for them in Year1.

It's really hard to see a two loss ACC team getting an at-large spot. If you assure there are only 2 losses on the remaining schedule do you have them winning the ACC Championship Game?

Let's say Virginia Tech were currently ranked #5, how many games do you see them losing on that schedule?

at the moment, I have them going 8-4…. 9-3 at best if they’re able to pull an upset or 2.

Miami last year, and I'm not confident there are even 2 losses on Virginia Tech's schedule. Saying they can't beat Miami is ridiculous. ML and spread will be heavy on Miami, "strangely" that's typically a recipe for an "upset"

I am glad VT is getting better. But they barely beat BC last weekend

Game was in a monsoon, heavy rain and 50 mph wind gusts

And Indiana just almost lost at home to Northwestern, yet they're going to repeat

I literally state Northwestern is the outright best bet in the post and for anyone betting Indiana to close it out mid 3q if they're up enough to cover

I'm not only taking the right side, but also helping the losing side win when they can potentially be up
