I'm amazed at how you are so consistantly awful on here. I mean after a while that takes skill. Maybe next time a game gets cancelled due to a hurricane or flood you should go show those pussies how to be a real fan and go sit in the stands
Hey man frick YOU. I have lived in both elements. QUIT throwing flames on the people of N.O. There have been tons of games in blizzard conditions. Just a couple weeks ago at Chicago. You have shown you know NOTHING about FOOTBALL. So the Mayor Is the pussy then. ITS PHILLY. They are used to this shite. BTW frick YOU AGAIN. IF I ever met tyou I would show you what a HURRICANE can do BITCH.

This sucks in a major way for me....I work at an NBC affiliate and this is really going to screw up our end of 4Q orders and beginning of 1Q orders.
The reason they can't move the game up is because advertisers bought a Prime football spot and will not pay for an early game if their spots were to air in that TP. Advertisers that bought Prime on Tuesday are going to be effected by this as well.
I haven't called into the station for our contingency plan to know what will air tonight.

you are being a fricking moron. Sorry it offends you macho sensibilities PJ, but there are bigger concerns than playing a football game in weather conditions that they may have played games in before. You have no fricking idea what the current conditions in Philadelphia are like.
Posted on 12/26/10 at 12:32 pm to SprintFun
Please don't group in PJ with southerners. He's a Michigan man.

here's a fricking news flash for you PJ, just because they did something in the past, doesn't mean they have to do it again when they have a better understanding of the risks involved. They used to not play with pads or helmets either.

Like I have said WHY did they play the ICE bowl, Or the 1981 AFC championship game???? VERY dangourous for the fans on both counts. Why did they play two weeks ago in Chicago????

you're right, every heard of learning from past mistakes? They didn't used to postpone games due to lighting either.
But both of those games were just extreme cold, dangerous to be out in for sure, but not the same danger as driving in 2 feet of fricking snow.

I don't think they had 20" of snow forecast or nearly the high winds and icy roads.

IMO the biggest danger is a large # of fans making it to the stadium, then being trapped there due to deteriorating weather. there is no plan to deal w/ that, and it's a totally different scenario than the ice bowl or any other severe cold game.
i don't know that there's ever been a game played as a blizzard has rolled through. if 20" really come to bear, there's no way the plows will keep up.
forget the roads for a second, how on earth would you even get people out of the parking lot if 6 or 8" of snow fell during the game?

you question is fricking stupid. Yes they have played games in the snow, so what. You can't say they have ever played a game in the EXACT SAME CONDITIONS that they have in Philadelphia today you nitwit. Again this is not about macho football, its about the safety of the fans and liability.

Not 20 inches but did you see that game???? They had snow everywhere and 45 MPH winds. Don't tell me they didn't think it would ICE the roads up. Again. I lived through shite like this. YOU have NOT. ITs obvious.

The mayor of Philly declare a state of emergency. He doesn't want citizens getting stranded or dying in the stands. Huge liability exposure for the league if they didn't move the game. This has nothing to do with on the field action.
Using peej's logic the Saints should have been playing during Katrina. Fricking pussies.
