TS knew he (Ward) was pissed.

What? Did they have a convo about it in the 2 seconds before Tony saw him?

TS could have stopped and just sat there, while Ward released his anger and moved on.

Dude, I really hope this is a troll on your part.

Just terrible all the way around. No doubt the kid should have stayed in his car, but I don't see how anyone can watch that video and realize Tony hits the gas when he gets to the kid. I think it was an intimidation attempt gone horribly wrong.

How can anyone even come up with a statement like this? Just adding bs fire to a message board with no evidence to even come close to backing up a statement like that.

NASCAR has total authority over their drivers. And I'm surprised you would think otherwise

They can still be sued though so they have to be careful how they wield and use that power.

I have seen many wrecked drivers yelling, pointing, etc as the driver who put them in the wall came back around. Are you saying this doesn't happen?

I don't know if I can really tell what happened. You must have better eyesight than me.

I'm not 100% and used the wrong verbiage earlier, but that's what it looked like to me

This isn't really an "agree to disagree" type of situation seeing as it is fact that NASCAR can regulate its drivers in its races. He's correct.

In my limited NASCAR watching experience, I've seen plenty of people on the track

So that makes him not an idiot for walking onto a live track?

"It's been done before" is not a valid reason to do something again.

Have a feeling you aren't to familiar with sprint cars on dirt.

Link?

Surely these are all over Youtube.

When I see wrecks, unless the car is about to blow up, the drivers usually stay in their car and wait on things to be cleared and the crew to come help them out of the vehicle but that's just me I guess. Maybe I am watching the wrong races.

I apparently need to watch the ones sponsored by the WWE.

You do know that Talledaga Nights was just a movie ?

Shut up. You don't watch NASCAR. Usually, it's two wrecked drivers both out of their car... or on pit road. I've never seen a driver go down a track to get in front of a car coming around a curve. That's suicidal.

I've seen them throw helmets a few times...usually from a few feet away...

You seem to know a lot about NASCAR for someone who was so adamant about not watching NASCAR.

I would link you, but if you search anything with driver in track right now this comes up

You're missing out then... apparently "many" drivers point, yell, and run after moving cars.

Yeah they can suspend you for looking at someone wrong (I.e., you can get fired for anything your employer doesn't like), but not without the very real threat of retaliatory action from the suspended party, especially if he is exonerated.

Talk about the image of NASCAR, it'd be just as foolhardy for them to suspend a driver who was cleared and send the message that they'll punish employees before the facts have all come to light.

It would be a poor move on NASCAR's part.
