From the video, it didn't look as though they were racing each other in an aggressive or dirty manner. In fact, I don't think their cars even touched. It looked like Tony crowded Ward's car coming out of the turn and Ward spun. Simple racing accident that evolved into something incredibly tragic because of poor decisions and hot tempers.

Tony had no motive to run him over. I doubt he even saw him until it was too late. As multiple people have posted in this thread, it's difficult to see anything out of the right side of a sprint car, and I highly doubt that Tony drove into that turn expecting to see a human being standing in the middle of the racing line. This is akin to a person wearing all black jumping onto a poorly-lit highway at midnight and standing in the middle lane. Would you blame the car that hits him?

Whatever the case, this entire situation is just fricking horrible. :(
