Just watched the video. Why the hell would you get out of your car and stand in front of moving vehicles? To me that's just asking to get hit.

It is boneheaded but it still happens nonetheless.

Well so we are thinking TS was trying to make an illegal move?

Because 45 slowed down abruptly due to the guy in the middle of the track. Didn't think I needed to spell that out, but I forgot who I was talking to.

Can we please avoid going down that road again? Yes, drivers do go out onto the track to confront people. Yes, Tony Stewart has done it in the past. Is it relevant in any way to the discussion at hand? No.

Look for that to be an auto suspension and large fine in the future.

ETA: Techinally not illegal, but we all know in racing it is known not to pass on a yellow

Heaven grant me patience.

It would have had to have been so slight the Stewart would have hit Ward regardless.

Agreed.

It really is a shame that that wasn't the rule already, tbh.

10-4. I don't think there is video evidence to support this. But fair enough.

Moral of the story: don't be an idiot and challenge a vehicle like that on freaking foot. Nothing good could come of it

This reminds of the people that say things like "don't rob a guy's house and he won't shoot your pregnant self when you're unarmed, outside his house, and pose no threat to him."

We all know Ward acted like an idiot.

I didn't say he tried to pass him, genius. I even explained it in more detail especially for you a few posts above.

He said TS was trying to get around the 45 car. If me thinking getting around a car means passing a car, then I am proud to be a dumbass I guess

I like "don't run through a shooting range and expect to not get hit" better.
