What's with cops and attitude. You do not ha e to be respectful to police, comply with their demands and remain non-threatening. That's all they deserve. They feel like everyone has to respect them. Too many lectures from police as well, write the damn ticket if your gonna write it and be on with your way.
Kind of mixed feelings on the encounter up until the very end when the cop said lose the attitude. He was arguing with the cop, but he wasn't being out of control or over the top. Cop showed his complex there.

He did write the ticket, jones wouldn't sign it.

I remember it wasn't necessary of you signed it. I got ticked in Henderson, LA for speeding and he printed me out a ticket and I never signed it. Never paid it and when I got a letter in the mail, I called and said what ticket? I never signed for a ticket? Long story short it was reduced and taken off my record. But yeah, just write the ticket and throw it in the car lol.

Id pay 20 bucks to watch jones destroy that cop.
Same. Even let the cop have his gun. He will still be fumbling for it by the time Jones runs across the cage and rips his head off

Why? So Tangerine could start a thread about a cop killing an unarmed citizen because that's what would happen. And you'd be on a message board crying like a bitch that he got shot for acting a fool.
The cop called Jones "sir" like 4,000 times. Where does it say cops have to show anyone else respect when the guy was calling him a fricking liar.
You morons are fricking retarded.
ETA: the only thing I would have done differently is let Jones say what he has to say with no interruptions/arguments and let him be on his fricking way. And he slurred a couple of his words so he's lucky he didn't have to do any sobriety tests.

The cop said he didnt like jones. Jones lawyer will love that in court. I bet ahything these charges get dropped.

And where does it say that people have to respect cops at all, even when they are being douches and abusing the law. Not necessarily in this case but in general.
The only real difference is Jones pays taxes which pays for that officer to have a job. Cops work for citizens. That's the very nature of the job.
Ideal situation would be
Cop," sir I observed you doing the following things which I am going to ticket you for. DL, Insurance and Registration!"
Jones, "Blah blah blah bullshite bullshite blah blah!"
Allow him a reasonable time to present those materials, take them and write a ticket.
Cop," here are you items back sir and here is the ticket, oh you do not want to sign, that's fine sir, I will place it in your hand or car, have a good night"
Drive away.

Ok get called a fricking liar in your workplace and act the same way you described
Posted on 3/29/16 at 5:14 am to DeltaDoc
the cop was out to get him
Calling him Jonathan before even getting his license from him.
If he was really drag racing then video from the dash cam or tire marks from the stop light will be there. Why not take him to jail for drag racing and reckless driving which does happen?
I have no issue with him calling the cop a liar.

The cop was actually quite nice until Jones started acting like an arse.
by calling him Jonathan before even getting his ID
the cop was being a smart arse and jones became a smart arse.

So he got 5 tickets and not 1 of them was for speeding? But he was supposedly drag racing? Doesn't add up to me.
I agree with this... I would guess that he revved his engine just like he said at a stop light and then had a power display and the cop pulled him over. That does not constitute 5 tickets for bullshite like a license plate cover partially obscuring his registration sticker.
Jones was acting like an idiot with his driving and this is totally his fault for getting pulled over. But the cop was a total douche bag about the situation and went WAY overboard.

Cop could've easily taken him to jail. Cop could've pulled him out of the car and humiliated him.

JOnes is lucky as all hell that he didn't get asked questions about his sobriety. He sounded heavily buzzed and slurred a couple words.
I'd say he should be fortunate he got off with what he did.
