how much more awesome do you want vick to play?
you have to admit.. you'd expect him to have turned the ball over atleast once with his style of play.. and yet he hasn't
15 total td's he accounted for to manning's full season 16 td's.. that's insane.
i over-reacted the moment he nearly brought the eagles back week 1 against the packers.. which was dang near a miracle.. and he hasn't let off the pedal since.. it isn't "one game" he has been the most exciting player to watch bar none.

Vick has played very well, and it's an interesting story, but don't be the one to over-react to one awesome game.

We must all admit to being wrong about Vick. I can go on record of saying I thought he would be good but I never predicted this good. I was think Atlanta days with less running, more passing, and a higher completion percentage but not Madden type numbers. Dude is straight playing on rookie mode while everyone else is playing on all-pro.

Vick's team was winning without him.
No they weren't.
They nearly won Game 1, only after his insertion into the lineup for Kolb.
They got beat by the Titans, with Kolb.
They won one game with Kolb... against the hapless 49ers, and it was close.
Their 3rd loss came when? You guessed it.. Vick got hurt after marching the Eagles up the field vs. the Redskins...
Kolb has seen the field at least half the game or more in every one of the Eagles' losses.
I'm a Philly fan, and the Eagles line is a hot piece of shite. They have an above average LT and are playing backups at C and RG and typically rotating guys in and out of RG due to injury. Their RT is average. Their LG is above average at best.
Vick IS the reason the Eagles are where they are, and if you watched him play enough and not just look at stats, you'd know that.
Now, can the same be said about Manning?
Well, he certainly didn't help his team much this week.
He threw a costly pick that cost them a game against the Jags.
He's had two games where he's accounted for 0 TDs.
He also played poorly at home against the Redskins, but was fortunate his poor throws didn't result in picks

Padding stats is done in garbage time. Peyton very rarely runs up meaningless stats.
-Down by 17 with under 2 minutes to go against Houston, Peyton hit a 73 yard TD to Collie.
-Up by 23 with 12 minutes to go in the 4th against the Giants, Peyton throws a 10 yard TD to Wayne.
That's twice he did it THIS YEAR.

I don't know why some people think manning is a lock for mvp. His stats don't seem overly impressive. I feel that if you are going to say manning is the front runner, you also have to include Tom Brady. Brady (7-2 team record I believe) has 17 TDs to 4 Ints compared to Manning's 16/4 (Manning has more yds).
IMO,at the moment..the order for MVP 1) Vick 2) Tie between Manning and Brady 3) Rivers (even though his team isn't that good)

In Philly when the Colts were coming off of a Monday night game, the Eagles were coming off a bye week, and the Colts were so beaten up there was question as to whether they'd be able to dress their full allotment of players before the game.
Nice, there is always an excuse available when Manning loses a game!

i don't understand why people continue to say "after one game"
have you simply watched what vick has done this season? when he is on the field.. he has been nothing short of amazing.

A few weeks ago he was leading the NFL in QB rating, TDs, was 2nd in yards and had thrown the least ints other than Vick. He's fallen off since then though. I don't think he's a lock anymore

Vick = MVP?
Assuming he stays healthy, do you think the voters will be able to look past his puppy murdering ways?
He is definitely the most valuable player to his team. I mean they can win with Kolb, but they seem unstoppable with a healthy Vick. I just don't see how Washington got him so hard early last time and last night he seemed to have a force field around him.

Interesting stat: the top two passer ratings in the league belong to Vick with 115.1 and David Garrard with 104.9. Who could have called that at the beginning of the year?
