So was the pitcher putting mud on the ball ? Looks like the clump came off at the beginning and then ball hit it after the windmill.

Ouch...imagine how fast that mud is traveling into your eye....faster than standing behind a muddy burnout.

And the Oregon ladies SHOULD wear the Oregon sailor duck on all their Unis, all their women apparel for fans goes with that girlie Duck. Maybe be like the old women's basketball and wear bandanas around the neck as part of the full ensemble...lady techsters, or someone did that.
