I forget the exact specifics but he was on a visit to Ohio State when GameDay was in town. He was taken to the set and met the crew and whoever the guest picked was. Ohio State got dinged for some type of recruiting violation as result and they basically agreed to stop recruiting him to avoid further punishment.
Buckeyes were the favorites to land him at the time.

He was on a visit to Ohio State and they were said to be the big leader. The Gameday crew decided it would be a good idea to bring him on the set and interview him. Ohio State got punished for not stopping it and had to stop recruiting him.
