I might actually end up watching only one bowl game this year, and I'm not even that excited for that one.

UNC might be burnt out heading there

But it’s going to be a sell out

UCF and GA Tech get swapped. Duke originally slated to play UCF in Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa, and Tech vs Troy in Birmingham. Duke and UCF played in the Military last year, so to avoid a rematch Duke now gets Troy in Birmingham, while Tech gets UCF in Tampa.

But that's complete and final, right?
I'm the commissioner of our bowl pick'em contest at work.

Because Tulane decided to lose to SMU in the American championship, so now Liberty is the highest rank G5, which gives you an autobid to the Fiesta. Last year, the autobid was the Cotton.

What if Georgia players who opt out for the NFL decide not to play? Same with FSU.

A lot of bowl games will simply be exhibition games at destination locations for diehard fans. Who wins doesn’t matter anymore.

College football has been ruined by trying to find a way to crown a champion. The bowl games don’t mean anything anymore.

I’m waiting for a time when a marquee player opts out of the championship matchups.

Oregon vs Liberty has to be, simultaneously, about the funniest and most pathetic match up ever.

What a slap in the face to Oregon.

It also happens to be an illustration of how this year's CFP nonsense is the epitome of "lacks credibility"...

If LSU could have a bunch of opt outs, that would be great.

Nope.

But the Cotton Bowl got more interesting after the transfer portal opened up.

I will be watching every bowl game I can. I don't care. More football.

I'm also the guy that will stay up past 2AM watching Hawaii and a mainstay in the PAC 12 After Dark fka Sark After Dark.

I just like football. If you don't like it, don't watch.

Bowl games haven’t mattered in years. Most teams will have their marquee players sitting out so just enjoy it for what it is - a glorified scrimmage for mid level players. I’m a GT guy so I’ll shoot down to Tampa, eat some seafood, do some sight seeing, and watching my team for whoever played that day knowing that we’ll have lose several players to the portal and will pick up several players from the portal before next August. The FSU- UGA will be ridiculous with the number of starters not playing.

Oregon, if they choose to, could name their score against Liberty.

Should have been SMU. Oregon would easily beat either one.

But motivation may be an issue in this one.
